As a top Vancouver tourist attraction and cruise ship terminal, the promenade sees a lot of foot traffic and operational activities.  The renewals and upgrades of the grade level podium waterproofing at the East Promenade was completed in 2025, with renewals to the West Promenade underway for completion in 2026
